hi, I’m Shauna.

Hi! I’m Shauna Weaver. I’ve been passionate about understanding human psychology, fascinated by family dynamics, and interested in learning and engaging other people’s stories for decades.

My whole-person approach considers both the impact of your lifestyle and the validity and relevance of your experiences, while offering a non-judgmental space to share in the care and guidance of a trained, compassionate presence.

I enjoy using Family Systems, Attachment Theory, trauma awareness, and elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients find the clarity and healing they desire.

I majored in Psychology from the University of California-Channel Islands, where I gained a solid foundation of the science and research aspect of the field; and received my MA in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary in 2020, which emphasizes a relationally-focused understanding of the counseling process.

When I’m not wearing my counselor hat, I enjoy being present with my two daughters, long hikes, reading (psychology, memoirs, or historical fiction), crafting, doing yoga, catching up with friends over a workout or brunch, and anything involving a warm matcha latte in my hand.

Whether you decide to make yourself comfortable on the sofa in my office, or open up your laptop from the comfort of your home, I’d be happy to help you work towards your goals–or help you establish  them, if you’re not quite sure what they are yet.
